I think it was very good not only for the RA application, but very informative for any application. Joyce Henderson was very knowledgable and down to earth. It was overall helpful and I plan to take my drafted resume to the Career Center.
Very comprehensive detailed workshop. I appreciate it very much!
The session started almost 20 minutes late because of a miscommunication about who would be giving the presentation. Handshake wasn't working and so we couldn't use it effectively in the workshop. Despite this, the speaker did a great job engaging us in conversation and although I didn't learn as much as I wanted to, I did learn more than I knew before. I think maybe this workshop should be postponed until the bugs in Handshake are worked out.
It should have been made clear in the email or in the very beginning of the presentation that it was only for those who would be rising seniors in the summer.
This was helpful as it provided information on when to apply, how to submit a resume, how to prepare for an interview, etc. It will make the job searching process easier in the future.
This was a very helpful and informative workshop great for anyone! I feel more comfortable on how to write a resume and a cover letter now.
This was a very informative session. I was abut to not go to this session, but now I'm glad that I did. I would recommend this to anyone who is even remotely interested in travel, teaching, research, or language opportunities.
Good session. Especially for people who aren't sure about what major they want. But if you are just not ready to take the step in choosing your major, but you have an idea of what you want to do, this will help with solidify any unsure feelings.
