2022 Virtual CEEE K-12 Economic Education Conference
This K-12 Delaware educational conference-- now offered with tracks specifically tailored for elementary, middle and secondary school teachers-- is produced annually by the Lerner College Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship. It will be hosted again this year as a live, virtual offering and will provide powerful content and engaging methods that help drive students to learn economics.
Educators may choose to follow either a tailored track of four specific sessions each, or select from among any of the eleven 35-minute concurrent sessions, led by regional experts and master teacher.
Participants will also have an opportunity to engage online with other Delaware teachers and enjoy a mid-day keynote presentation given by Luke Tilley, Chief Economist of Wilmington Trust Investment Advisors and member of its Investment Committee.
Breakout session presentations will address topics such as: Little Learners to Big Earners, Brand New Middle School Economics Lessons, Chalk-and-Talk & Student-Engagement Strategies in Economics, The Roots of the Racial Wealth Gap: Innovation Cycles and Creative Destruction, and Redlining: How Does Where You Live Influence How You Live?
Presenters will model how to effectively bring economics to life in the Delaware classroom, teaching participants how to implement vetted and interactive econ simulations that drive student learning. Teachers will take away ready-to-go lesson plans, along with the confidence needed to successfully deliver them in the classroom.
5 credit hours of PD awarded.
