About this Event
The 2022-2023 UD Anthropology Speaker Series features a set of internationally-acclaimed anthropologists whose work focuses on the changes our planet is undergoing through lenses of climate change and changing ecologies. The series presents a broad view of how these changes impact people around the world and influence diverse ways of life. Combining applied, archaeological, biological, and cultural perspectives on the past, present, and future, the series demonstrates how anthropologists are in a unique and important position to help us understand and address pressing problems of climate and ecological change.
Herman Pontzer studies health issues (especially metabolism) from an evolutionary perspective. He is an Associate Professor of Evolutionary Anthropology at Duke University.
