AUTUMN GARDEN CELEBRATION

Plants, Pumpkins & Ice Cream 

Celebrate the first day of fall with us at the inaugural Autumn Garden Celebration on Tuesday, September 22 from 12-6 p.m.! Enjoy a day of seasonal fun hosted by the UD Botanic Gardens. Shop a wide selection of houseplants, fall perennials, and shrubs; pick out pumpkins and squash from UD’s Fresh to You Farm table; and treat yourself to ice cream from UDairy’s Moo Mobile. The UD Extension Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your gardening questions, and a free pumpkin decorating station will provide fun for all ages.

This event is open to the public and includes free reserved parking in the Townsend Hall lot. A detailed schedule is below. We hope you can join us!

UDBG Fall Plant Sale: Browse a wide selection of houseplants, as well as perennials and shrubs, featuring beautiful autumn interest – berries, foliage, flowers, and seed heads. 

Fresh to You Farm Sale: Featuring a diverse selection of pumpkins and squash both delicious and decorative.

Pumpkin Painting Station: Enjoy a fun activity for all ages – decorate your pumpkin with our free paints and supplies. 

Cooperative Extension Info Table: Delaware Master Gardeners will be present to answer your garden questions and provide information on soil testing, plant diagnostics, and lawn and garden programs and services. 

UDairy Creamery: The Moo Mobile will make an appearance from 3:30-5:30 p.m.!

PARKING NOTE: Free parking in the Townsend Hall lot has been reserved for you and can be accessed from the northern, Mopar Drive entrance. Click HERE for a map.
