The scientific method guides our work. We seek to find answers through observation, experimentation, and analysis. Often, this allows us to make broader predictions. However, what happens when the “data” lead us astray? What happens when logic alone doesn’t lead us to the outcome we expect? We’ll explore the nature of implicit bias, how it impacts our everyday behaviors, and our approach to our work. We strive to be as objective as possible, but even the best science isn’t fully objective, nor does it need to be in order to be impactful. Let’s explore how our brain betrays us and how we can more reliably predict when it will happen!
