• Maleshigo Mabye is a visiting scholar on a Fulbright Scholar in Residence program who recently completed her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. Her research focuses on off-target steroid receptor interactions seen with progestins used in contraceptives. In addition to her research, Mabye has developed a keen interest in advocacy for women's health rights and is passionate about science education. During her time as a visiting scholar, she looks forward to learning from her peers and colleagues and is eager to impart her knowledge and experience to the academic community.
