Dr. Ruth Ochia

• Dr. Ruth Ochia is a Professor of Instruction in the Department of Bioengineering at Temple University. Her primary research focuses on engineering education and curricular assessment with a specific focus on design thinking process engineering teams, and student engagement and motivation at the undergraduate level. This research area has garnered several publications, and she has been an invited speaker at recent regional and national meetings. She serves as a program evaluator and Engineering Accreditation Commissioner for ABET. She is a Fellow of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE). She serves on many committees at her institution and professional societies.
