An Entrepreneur's Journey

This is not a deep tech talk and is not intended to be so. Every entrepreneur has a story to tell about his/her/their journey. This talk is about my personal journey from a rookie engineer to an entrepreneur to a Fortune 50 executive and the lessons learned, and insights gained. I will touch upon the lifecycle of a startup company, how my time at UD doing a PhD helped build the skills necessary to be an entrepreneur, my experience with startups and large corporations in the technology field, career building, and leadership. While going through this journey, I will touch upon what it took to move from an engineer/researcher to a leader. Finally, what becomes important over time is the ability to help people succeed and create positive impact. Giving back or paying it forward is really important and is an integral part of my growing up and I will be sharing my involvement with non-profits that help live the do well by doing good philosophy.

Pramod is on the Board of TiE Boston, a non-profit focused on fostering entrepreneurship and the Advisory Board of American India Foundation, a non-profit that focuses on creating positive social impact in India. He is the Chair of TiE ScaleUp that is a Seed+ to Series A startup incubator.
