About this Event
69 Transportation Circle, Dover, DE
https://www.pcsreg.com/confident-conversationsAs educators and service providers, we are in a unique position to support success of farmer, waterman, logger, horticulture and ag worker operations. We also frequently get unique insights to their motivations, concerns and their wellbeing. While we are strong in our subject matter areas, often we are not so confident in our ability to have supportive conversations with our clientele that will improve their decision making, build on their strengths, and address tough topics. You may be unsure about what to say when working with clientele who are burned out or stressed. The focus of this training is to strengthen confidence in your ability to use proven communication tools to reduce all types of agricultural risks and build resilience in your clientele and their enterprises.
Participants will:
· Learn proven communication techniques that can facilitate positive and productive conversations;
· Increase knowledge about mental health, stress and stigma, and the impact on producers in farming, fishing, aquaculture, horticulture and logging industries and their families;
· Increase knowledge and skills for effective communication when addressing difficult topics and stressors;
· Increase knowledge of mental health resources and programmatic resources;
· Increase capacity to address mental health and build resilience in operations and their families within their communities.
Free to Registrants
