DESCRIPTION:NEW LOCATION: Each session is held from 3:30-5:00pm at the Cour
 tyard Marriott (400 David Hollowell Dr\, Newark\, DE 19716). Friday roundt
 ables are meant to foster conversation and community in an informal and re
 laxed environment\, so we invite you to enjoy snacks as well as a selectio
 n of coffee\, tea\, beer and wine during our program. Parking at the Marri
 ott is free\, though spaces may be limited. \n\n \n\nMarch 6th: Making mea
 ningful changes without totally overhauling a course. Making updates to ou
 r courses can be challenging. We don’t want to lose the true essence of 
 the course we worked so hard to design\, but how do we account for changes
  we want to make like the incorporation of a new learning assessment techn
 ique\, a move away from high-stakes exams to a series of writing assignmen
 t\, or a meaningful change the way we use in-class time for students to co
 mplete weekly group worksheets? During this session\, our faculty facilita
 tor will introduce their individual teaching and course context before pre
 senting a short overview of how they made revisions that were purposeful\,
  assessable\, and done via reflective practice. Participants will be intro
 duced to the CTAL resource on reflective course revision and provided with
  ample time to explore this tool in the context of their teaching.\n\n \n\
 nSession Modality: Workshop. After a brief set-up by our facilitator\, par
 ticipants will be given plenty of time to review the reflective course rev
 ision worksheet and apply it to one of their own Spring courses. The sessi
 on will conclude with time for Q&A as well as sharing reflections about th
 e tool.
