Delaware High School Personal Finance Challenge
High school teams enrolled in a personal finance course this school year are invited to vie for the Delaware Personal Finance Challenge state championship title this spring. The competition will be hosted virtually and in three parts: an indivdual online, qualifyying team semi-finals on Thurs., April 22, 2021; and finals which invite top three teams back to compete on Fri., April 23rd.

To qualify for advanced competition, individual students must be registered by their teacher in a prelimary round of online competition which runs March 1-April 2, 2021.
Following this online test, each registered teacher will be invited to bring one team of three-four qualifiying students to the virtual semi-final round from which the the top three teams will advance to the finals, held on the following day, where teams will vie for cash prizes, to be awarded to both first-, second-, and third-place teachers and students.

The winning team from the State Finals moves on to the National Semi-Finals, also being held virtually this year, from which the top-scoring teams advance to compete for the National Title. Cash prizes are awarded for each student member corresponding to their team’s rank in the National Finals: 1st place - $2,000, 2nd place - $1,000, and 3rd place - $500.
The University of Delaware may capture images of the online event. By participating in this event, you grant the University of Delaware permission to publish or display photography or video images of you. Images may be used in any promotional material, publications or other applications.
