Each year, the Democracy Project Institute for Teachers brings together teachers (K-12) and leaders in government and education to discuss the importance of civic participation for the future of our democratic society and collaborate on ways to inspire active youth citizenship.

This year's theme is "Local Civics – Developing Students as Community Problem Solvers," taking place from June 22-24, 2026, at the Virden Center in Lewes, Delaware. Eligible educators can fill out the interest form below.
