Please join us as the School of Education (SOE) welcomes Veronica N. Velez, associate professor of secondary education at Western Washington University, as part of its Spring colloquium series on Disability, Race, and Education. This series will critically examine the longstanding challenges that minoritized children and youth face in the special education system. Scholars with multiple disciplinary perspectives, such as history, education, disability studies, sociology, and educational statistics, will consider issues of equity, access, and inclusion.
