Jim Daly (Blue Hen C/O 2009) is the Senior Recruiting Partner at Thales Defense & Security, Inc. (ThalesDSI) located in Clarksburg, MD. Aside from experienced hires, he also plays a large role in the company’s university hiring efforts; attending career fairs in the fall and maintaining talent pipelines year round.

Jim has 10+ years’ experience in full-cycle recruiting, and experience placing hundreds of tech professionals (of various level) in roles ranging the entire SDLC, to Software Engineering leadership at Meta, to owning Engineering, Embedded, and DSP/FPGA talent recruiting at ThalesDSI.

Thales Defense & Security is part of the larger Thales Group (French owned) with 80K global employees. However, they operate through a proxy in the United States as they hold the DoD government contracts. The core products they design and build out of Clarksburg are Software-defined Radios, but they also have locations that focus on products such as: Helmet-mounted display units for defense aviation, Sonar for submarines (Navy based), and Man pack microwaves to name a few.
