Blake Meyers, from the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center and the University of Missouri, has pioneered the development and application of high-throughput DNA sequencing technologies to make fundamental discoveries about small RNAs — small molecules that act as “gene silencers” — and their impact on plant biology. His research has had wide application to crop improvement, including the development of new technologies for breeding hybrid crops. Join us on Friday, May 12, for a special lecture by this trailblazing scientist.
