About this Event
Harry L. Cannon Marine Studies Laboratory, Lewes
Join filmmaker Ben Judkins to explore a community-facing documentary screening on the University of Delaware’s Lewes campus.
This 90-minute film takes viewers around the world—via a surfboard built from 10,000 littered cigarette butts—to learn about the ocean’s importance and the inspiring work of a cast of professional surfers to protect it.
The film screening is free and open to the public. Registration is requested. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a reception preceding the screening.
The event is sponsored by the University’s Community Engagement Initiative, Partnership for Arts and Culture, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Delaware Sea Grant and the UD Presidential Committee on Sustainability.
