It can be confusing to navigate and locate government information for your research.

During this workshop, explore what type of information is kept, collected and created at the local, state and federal levels of government and how to research each one. You will learn which government entities may have generated relevant information, the complexities of how to locate and access that information, and how to evaluate government resources to answer your research questions.

You will also discover the resources available to you through the Library, Museums and Press to find government information, including government documents from Special Collections.

John Caldwell, coordinator of political papers and electronic records, and Kaitlyn Tanis, history and social sciences librarian, will lead the workshop.

This in-person workshop is open to the public.
