This two-part lecture series will be held virtually via Zoom during the lunch hour and will be recorded for those unable to attend live. Unique and Under-utilized Woody Plants for Greater Garden Interest
Are you ready to explore unique and unconventional woody plants for your landscape? Join us as we dive into a selection of species and varieties that often feel exclusive to collectors’ gardens or public arboreta. The best part? Nearly all of the plants featured in this presentation are available in the trade, making them accessible for your own garden!
Mary has held the position of Curator and Plant Recorder at the Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College since 2015 after working as the Horticulturist at the Henry Schmieder Arboretum of Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, PA. In her current position, she is responsible for curating, recording, mapping, and labeling a vast array of plant collections which encompass thousands of herbaceous plants and over 11,400 woody plants. Her plant passions include conifers, witchhazels, deciduous azaleas,and ferns, just to name a few.
