The iMusic series returns with a family-friendly livestream celebrating Earth Day. Under the leadership of its Advisory Council, Master Players continues to artistically express its deep concern for the environment through music, literature, and visual art. “Burning Ice” will allow you to enjoy the beauty of our planet with never-before-seen footage that underscores the issues we face unless serious actions are taken in the present. U.S. Senator Tom Carper (DE), Chair of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, will share the U.S. commitment under UD alumnus U.S. President Joe Biden to the well-being of the planet and new ideas from the committee on how to protect the environment for future generations. Master Players founding director Xiang Gao will co-host this event with guest speaker Andrea Razdan, a proud member of the Navajo Nation who will share stories about our planet from a Native American perspective.

This event will include the largest number of UD faculty and alumni performers, composers, and visual artists in iMusic’s 13-year history, and will feature world premieres of original and reimagined music in the genres of baroque, romantic, funk, jazz, film soundtrack, and more, with some of the most advanced audio and visual technology known to the industry of live performing arts today.
