With the rising cost of course materials and textbooks, the use of free or low-cost open educational resources (OER) can significantly increase student learning and success.
During this workshop, get practical tools and experience to reduce the cost of your course materials with these customizable, affordable resources. You will discover OER repositories of peer-reviewed course materials and simple strategies for incorporating them into your classes.
Meg Grotti, associate university librarian for Learning, Engagement and Curriculum Support, and Molly Olney-Zide, instruction and outreach librarian, will lead the workshop.
This virtual workshop is open to the public. Whether you have explored the open access movement before or are just starting out, faculty who are or who will soon be redesigning a course are encouraged to attend.
