The University of Delaware's M.A. in Strategic Communication presents our second speaker of the fall semester for our Inside the Industry speaker series. The program is celebrating its 5th year and we are excited to share that many alumni of the program will be joining us on Inside the Industry! Each session features public relations and communications practitioners from a variety of backgrounds, organizations, and areas of expertise.

Join us as we welcome UD Alum, Shannon Doty, an accomplished marketing professional working at the intersection of psychology and strategic communication. Since 2017, Shannon has been a driving force in the membership marketing department at the American Psychological Association (APA), where she has contributed to a significant increase in membership, growing from 120,000 to over 157,000 members. Her work encompasses global marketing campaigns, member acquisition and retention, social media management, member engagement, and e-commerce. She also manages APA’s Campus Ambassador Program, which engages and empowers students globally while promoting APA’s mission and brand.
