https://www.udel.edu/academics/global/isss/Living abroad can be an amazing experience filled with adventure, new experiences, and exciting opportunities. At first, all of the excitement can distract us from the challenges and hardships that also come with living abroad. Eventually, most of us will start to miss the people, places, and way of life back home. That’s normal. It is also hard. This week we will discuss how to deal with feeling homesick and even feeling lonely. This community will come together to support one another and share the ways that we all overcome these feelings and challenges.
Being a student can be stressful. Being an international student can have unique challenges that can affect your wellbeing. We want to remind you that you don’t have to take on all of these challenges alone. One of the best ways to improve your wellbeing is to use the resources available to you and to connect with others in your community who can share how they deal with and ultimately overcome the unique challenges that might negatively impact their wellbeing. Led by Student Wellness and Health Promotion and the Center for Global Programs and Services, we will talk about some of these topics in this International Student Discussion Series. Each week will build upon the previous week’s topic and culminate in a holiday party at the end of the semester.
