The University of Delaware's first environmental film festival involves three days of unexpected laughs, stunning images, inspiring people and provocative ideas. Eleven films will be screened throughout the weekend, in afternoon and evening sessions designed to illuminate certain themes including environmental activism, nature in cities and human relationships with other life forms.
Each film will be introduced by a faculty moderator, who will also lead a discussion of the film or session. On Friday and Saturday evenings, directors of the films will be present to discuss their film.
In addition, the Sunday evening session will include the screening of the finalists in a student environmental video competition sponsored by the Delaware Environmental Institute and the awarding of the $1,000 grand prize.
All films are free and open to the public. Please visit the website for show times and trailers.
