About this Event
W. M. KECK FOUNDATION
Keck Research Grant
AMOUNT: May not exceed $1 Million; Near 1:1 matching which may include F&A, equipment, personnel, graduate tuition, and operations
The W.M. Keck Foundation makes grants in support of medical, science, or engineering research that is distinctive and novel in its approach, questions the prevailing paradigm, or has the potential to break open new territory in their field.
It is critical that your idea not be eligible for funding by NSF and NIH. “High Risk” is the mantra of the Keck Foundation. "High-risk" comprises a number of factors, including questions that push the edge of the field, present unconventional approaches to intractable problems, or challenge the prevailing paradigm. The first step in the process is for UD to gather all ideas and submit them as a group to the Keck Foundation. Then, the Foundation will discuss all of the concept papers with the vice president for research, scholarship and innovation (or designee) to determine the most competitive proposal to move forward.
