Webinar – Disability and Delaware's short-lived internet voting pilot

This is a past event

Delaware just grounded its internet-based voting pilot in the wake of warnings from cybersecurity experts.

Many voters with disabilities counted on the pilot’s accessibility features.

How did the state go so quickly from greenlighting to cancelling the pilot? How will people challenged by paper ballots vote absentee now that the pilot’s digital voting features are no  longer available to them? How can Delaware provide all its citizens with an elections system that they can access equally, and when?

Join us as elections experts and advocates answer these – and your – questions.

Speakers include Anthony Albence, Delaware state election commissioner; Christopher Ramos, Department of Elections IT director; Laura Waterland, Delaware Disabilities Law Program director; and Virginia Atkinson, International Foundation for Electoral Systems senior global advisor, inclusion.
