Join us for a morning of learning. Our program, designed for both novice and experienced gardeners, will feature a variety of topics, giveaways, and an opportunity to network with our expert Master Gardeners. UDairy Creamery ice cream will also be served.
The Fall into the Garden program includes:
Putting a New Edge on Garden Tools, with Master Gardener Frank Ebright
If your garden tools have lost that factory edge, you are probably working harder than necessary and getting poor results in the process. You don’t need expensive equipment to restore them, and the improvements are worth your time. Let us show you how. A sharp tool is a joy to use - a dull tool is not your friend.
Composting 101, with Master Gardener Ed Ziegler
Learn the basics of home composting along with different tips and techniques to turn yard and food waste into “black gold.” If the weather cooperates, we will take a quick tour of the Master Gardener compost demonstration site during this session.
Transitioning Your Garden Into Winter, with Master Gardener Nancy Bell
Fall is the perfect time to assess, divide and prepare your space for its winter nap. We'll look at what can be divided now and how to do it as well as practicing good garden sanitation.
Registration for the Fall into the Garden program is $20.
This program is brought to you by University of Delaware Cooperative Extension, a service of the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, a land-grant institution. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. If you have special needs that need to be accommodated, please contact the office two weeks prior to the event.
