CIT Camp runs in conjunction with Newark Day Camp. Teens 13 and older are encouraged to tackle hands-on leadership experiences. The counselor training program is designed to equip teens with the leadership skills to prepare them to serve as camp counselors in the future. This camp is for teens who are 13 years old by May 30. Training will involve camp counselor protocol, risk management, team building, camper safety, and problem-solving. Completion of this program is strongly encouraged for teens who wish to become a 4-H camp counselor for the 2025 summer camps. Campers will provide their own lunch. 

Open to youth ages 13-16 as of 5/30/24.

This camp will be limited to 15 campers.

Registration opens March 1.
