Jaimie Watts serves as the Deputy Director of the Delaware Division of Small Business, where she is instrumental in advancing the agency’s mission to support entrepreneurs, empower growth, and drive inclusive economic development across the state. In her leadership capacity, Jaimie oversees the Division’s Marketing and Communications team as well as the Delaware Tourism Office. She leads statewide initiatives to promote Delaware as a premier destination for business development and travel, ensuring consistent and strategic messaging that highlights the state’s strengths. Her work bridges storytelling, public engagement, and policy to support small business success and economic vitality.

Before joining the Division, Jaimie served as Chief of Operations at Leadership Delaware, where she managed program delivery, alumni engagement, and organizational infrastructure. Her previous experience also includes leading marketing and events at the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and managing large-scale fundraising initiatives and volunteer training at the American Cancer Society.

In addition to her public service, Jaimie is a dedicated community leader and entrepreneur. She serves on the boards of Spotlight Delaware and Jewish Family Services, and continues to volunteer with the American Cancer Society, a cause close to her heart. As a small business owner, she owns Nomad Bar in Wilmington, as well as the building it occupies—including residential apartments—giving her firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities faced by small business owners and property managers. Jaimie is a graduate of the University of Delaware and brings to her work a passion for inclusive growth, strong community partnerships, and creating spaces—both economic and physical—where people and businesses can thrive. She lives in Newark with her husband, Mike.
