DESCRIPTION:Jaimie Watts serves as the Deputy Director of the Delaware Divi
 sion of Small Business\, where she is instrumental in advancing the agency
 ’s mission to support entrepreneurs\, empower growth\, and drive inclusi
 ve economic development across the state. In her leadership capacity\, Jai
 mie oversees the Division’s Marketing and Communications team as well as
  the Delaware Tourism Office. She leads statewide initiatives to promote D
 elaware as a premier destination for business development and travel\, ens
 uring consistent and strategic messaging that highlights the state’s str
 engths. Her work bridges storytelling\, public engagement\, and policy to 
 support small business success and economic vitality.\n\nBefore joining th
 e Division\, Jaimie served as Chief of Operations at Leadership Delaware\,
  where she managed program delivery\, alumni engagement\, and organization
 al infrastructure. Her previous experience also includes leading marketing
  and events at the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and managing larg
 e-scale fundraising initiatives and volunteer training at the American Can
 cer Society.\n\nIn addition to her public service\, Jaimie is a dedicated 
 community leader and entrepreneur. She serves on the boards of Spotlight D
 elaware and Jewish Family Services\, and continues to volunteer with the A
 merican Cancer Society\, a cause close to her heart. As a small business o
 wner\, she owns Nomad Bar in Wilmington\, as well as the building it occup
 ies—including residential apartments—giving her firsthand insight into
  the challenges and opportunities faced by small business owners and prope
 rty managers. Jaimie is a graduate of the University of Delaware and bring
 s to her work a passion for inclusive growth\, strong community partnershi
 ps\, and creating spaces—both economic and physical—where people and b
 usinesses can thrive. She lives in Newark with her husband\, Mike.
