With a little sunlight, some water from the ground and carbon from the air, plants build the carbs that sustain life on Earth.  A variety of minerals is also essential for plant growth.  In this workshop, we will examine the role these minerals play in supporting plant growth as well as the processes plants rely on to fulfill their nutritional needs.  We will then cover fertilizers, amendments and soil management in terms of principles and practices that you can apply to meet your gardening needs.
