Complexities of Color
As a response to George Zimmerman’s acquittal, the Complexities of Color Summit seeks to engage a diverse audience in a discussion on the role of race in contemporary society. The event includes a keynote address by Associate Professor of Education at Columbia University’s Teachers College, Dr. Marc Lamont Hill and a panel discussion with University of Delaware President’s Diversity Initiative Postdoctoral Fellow in Sociology and Criminology, Dr. Armando Lara–Millán and Assistant Professor of Africana Studies at Drexel University, Dr. Yaba Blay.
Free and open to the public with ticket. UD students, faculty, and staff may pick up tickets from the Center for Black Culture starting September 24th; all others must register at https://thecolorcomplex.eventbrite.com/.
