The Student Government Association, in collaboration with the Career Services Center (CSC) and with help from the University Student Centers, is working to establish a Career Clothing closet in the Perkins Student Center! By utilizing the Career Innovation grant provided by the CSC, we will be purchasing professional attire such as blazers, shirts, and blouses, shoes, belts, ties, pants/skirts, etc. to stock our closet with. Students can then "shop" the closet and take home up to 5 items a semester free of cost. It is our hope that this closet will help university students look their best for internships, interviews, and career fairs regardless of their financial situation. We wanted to jump-start this initiative with a professional attire donation drive, as the grant alone will not fill the closet. If you are interested in helping out, SGA has multiple donation boxes and drop off sites. Faculty/staff and students can then bring in any unwanted or old professional clothing and drop it in the box! All we ask is that items are clean and in relatively good shape!
