Organized by the social work program in the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD), this conference will focus on how the interconnectedness of mental health and substance use disorders within families creates a complex landscape that impacts not only individuals but also relationships across generations. The conference aims to explore the multifaceted nature of these issues, focusing on how families navigate the ripple effects of mental health challenges and substance use disorders. The conference will also examine how these issues affect broad family dynamics, resilience, and overall well-being across different age groups, including older adults.
