https://www.education.udel.edu/colloquium-series/Dr. Caroline Ebby, Senior Lecturer in the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, will present “Using Learning Progressions to Enhance Equitable and Inclusive Mathematics Instruction” as part of the School of Education Colloquium Series.
Dr. Ebby’s talk will focus on the development of a set of learning progressions for early number, addition, and subtraction that are designed specifically for teachers to use to inform and enhance mathematics instruction. She will also present findings from a decade of research on teachers’ use of these learning progressions in grades K-8, including the impact on teacher knowledge, curriculum use, and student learning and the challenges of implementation and scale-up.
