"Doing Research Using Critical Approaches"

Fabienne Doucet is the Executive Director of the NYU Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools and an Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education and Urban Education in the department of Teaching and Learning at the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. 

In this presentation, Fabienne Doucet will share her program of research and how critical theoretical and methodological frameworks inform her research questions, methods, interpretation, and approaches to dissemination. She will also discuss the implications of taking a critical stance for improving policy and practice.
