All sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) can be treated, and most can be cured. Even if you have no symptoms, an STD can cause serious health problems if left untreated.

Free STD testing is available all year for full time students at Student Health Services as part of the Student Wellbeing Fee they pay each semester.

Free testing is expanded to ALL students, full and part time, in any program, during STD Awareness Month (being observed in April AND May this year).

Got a student UDID number? Get free STD testing through April and May and know your STD status. Make your appointment on the UD Health Portal: udhealthportal.udel.edu

One of the best ways to prevent STDs is to use condoms properly. Students can stop by the first floor of both Laurel and Warner Halls to pick up free condoms. The third floor of the Wellbeing Center at Warner Hall, home to Student Wellness and Health Promotion, also offers free female condoms and lubricant. Student Health Services also offers a full range of treatment and contraception services in Laurel Hall, though some additional cost may apply depending on what is needed.
