Learn whether deterioration in the aging tendon can be counteracted during a Jan. 18 talk by Christian Couppé, senior researcher at the Department of Physical Therapy & Institute of Sports Medicine, International Olympic Committee Research Center, Copenhagen, Bispebjerg - Frederiksberg Hospitals. Dr. Couppé's talk will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18 in the Health Sciences Complex atrium. This talk will focus on how physical inactivity and metabolic issues can accelerate aging of tendon connective tissue as well as whether regular exercise can counteract age-related changes in tendon, skin and in the body.
