The Fragility of States lecture series
A one-credit Pass/Fail course as well as a series of free lectures, Issues in Global Studies: The Fragility of States (ARSC300) examines why failed and failing states - from Somalia to Syria and beyond - are destabilizing and unraveling. Why, even in advanced and developed states, is governance failing? This is a core course in the Global Studies minor.
Each week a different expert will discuss an aspect or area of the world. Attend one or more of the lectures - free and open to the public!
