[CANCELLED] The Whipping Man

This is a past event

By Matthew Lopez. The Civil War is over; the Confederacy has fallen. On the eve of Passover, Caleb, a young Jewish Rebel soldier with a bullet still lodged in his leg, returns to his half-destroyed Virginia home and his familyÕs former slaves, Simon and John. As the three men wait for others to arrive, they struggle with the new reality of a defeated south, emancipated slaves, and the strange irony of Jewish families being slave owners. As they prepare a simple Seder, long-buried secrets from the past emerge in a dramatic and shocking climax.
