About this Event
Tolerance on the Green is a traveling international poster exhibition that will be featured on the Green pavements at the University of Delaware from November 1 until November 30, 2024.
On November 16, International Tolerance Day, a well-known artist, designer, and activist, Mirko Ilić, will conduct a walking tour of the exhibition starting at noon. The tour will begin near Gore Hall. Mirko is the founder of THE TOLERANCE PROJECT and sponsor of this exhibit. The posters celebrate and honor the starting point of all meaningful discourse: tolerance. Free, flexible, and ever-expanding.
THE TOLERANCE PROJECT has brought a message of social acceptance to more than 600,000 people in 48 countries worldwide. This bold initiative showcases the work of over 230 designers—some established, some up-and-coming, all wildly talented.
One of UD's own, artist, designer and curator of the show, Associate Professor Blažo Kovačeviċ, will be represented with one of his posters inspired by the theme.
This exhibition is sponsored by THE TOLERANCE PROJECT and Mirko Ilić Corp., brought to you by the Visiting Speaker Committee of the Department of Art and Design, and generously supported by the Margaret P. Allen Endowed Lectureship Fund.
For all questions, please contact Blažo Kovačeviċ.
