Trees for Compact Spaces

Want to know what you can plant in that one tricky spot? Or in your hell strip with wires overhead? Or maybe you need something to shade a patio, hide a neighbor, or simply bring you joy? This talk explores tree selections tailored to specific challenges and highlights pruning techniques to work in your favor. From small ideas to broader landscape considerations, this presentation will encourage you to think creatively when considering your garden additions.

 

Lucy Dinsmore owns and operates Plant Lady Lucy LLC, a design/build company specializing in native plants and stormwater solutions in Pennsylvania and Delaware. She is an ISA certified arborist (International Society of Arboriculture) and was a staff horticulturist for nine years at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. Lucy is also the program manager for Catch the Rain, a rebate program in the White Clay Watershed that provides technical and financial assistance to homeowners wishing to implement green stormwater projects.

Registration is FREE for UDBG Members, $25 for non-members.

CANCELLATION POLICY

UDBG reserves the right to cancel any program if necessary. Refunds take approximately 3–4 weeks to process. There will be no refunds after a class or series has begun. Payment will be refunded if cancellation is made 10 days prior to the event.
