UD DataFest is a an event where teams of undergraduates collaborate and compete over 48 hours to share meaning in an authentic dataset. Students are assisted by data professionals, faculty, and grad students who serve as mentors & judges. The University of Delaware has continued to progress in the emerging fields of data science through the Data Science Institute, and graduate programs in data science, business analytics, and statistics. We also have many undergraduate students studying bioinformatics, analytics, geospatial data, educational research, econometrics, and especially general statistics. UD DataFest aims to bring these students and faculty together for an engaging and authentic data challenge! This event is being supported by UD's Data Science Institute, Interdiscilpinary Humanties Research Center, Associate in Arts Program, and Library, Museums and Press.
