Introduction to Soils and Soil Fertility

Most realize that soils are the base of the landscape. But what comprises soil? How do soils differ in structure, texture, and their properties (physical, chemical)? Knowing how to work with the soil in your landscape is key to the establishment of healthy plants. Join UD Associate Professor and Extension Specialist, Nutrient Management and Environmental Quality expert, Dr. Amy Shober, as she explains the how what, and why of soils.

The class will be held in 132 Townsend Hall on UD’s South Campus, from 6:30-8:30 PM. Free parking behind Townsend Hall. In the event of snow, class will be held Wednesday, February 6. Cost is $20 for UDBG Friends and $25 for nonmembers.
