The Kent County Master Gardeners are offering a series of short, online workshops that will cover a different vegetable each week. Beginning Thursday, April 8, and continuing for 7 weeks through the spring, we will talk about variety selection, soil, water and light requirements, direct seeding vs. transplanting, fertilizing, potential pests, and diseases, harvesting, and more for each specific crop.

Vegetable workshops offered in this series include

  • Lettuce (Thursday, April 8, 2021),
  • Tomatoes (Thursday, April 15, 2021),
  • Peppers (Thursday, April 22, 2021),
  • Green Beans (Thursday, April 29, 20201,
  • Squash (Thursday, May 6, 2021),
  • Cucumbers (Thursday, May 13, 2021) and
  • Pole Lima Beans (Thursday, May 20, 2021). 

 

This workshop will be offered online via Zoom. Zoom login information will be provided to registered participants by email prior to the workshop.
