Yoel Villahermosa Serrano, instructor in the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures, will speak on the topic of "Virtual Territories: Neocolonial Constructs of Latin America in Video Games" as part of the ARSC300 Issues in Global Studies lecture series.
The theme of the Fall 2024 lecture series is Visual Storytelling. Discover how visual strategies are employed in different media to communicate or tell stories. A diverse group of speakers from UD and other universities will discuss social media, video games, graphic novels, dance, memes and much more.
All are welcome to attend the ARSC300 Issues in Global Studies lectures; course registration is not required. The lecture series is organized every semester by the Center for Global & Area Studies (CGAS). ARSC300 is a 1-credit course that is open to all students and is a core course for the Global Studies major and minor.
