Taking part in the Walk With Ease evidence-based fitness program helps improve your overall health. Created by the experts at the Arthritis Foundation, this basic introductory level program is for people who are new or returning to exercise. Over 6 weeks of self-paced virtual education, you will learn how to set up a basic fitness program and make physical activity part of life! Motivational weekly topics include goal planning, stretching, strength exercises, overcoming barriers, the importance of hydration and how to fuel your body for physical activities.

 

The 6-week program includes:

 

  • Weekly emails and short videos
  • Optional live weekly group check-ins via Zoom on Tuesdays at 12 p.m.
  • Self-guided physical activity (i.e. walking, fitness classes, pickleball, gardening, swimming, yoga, etc.)
  • Weekly support via email and/or phone, as needed

 

Please note:

 

  • You must be 18 years or older and have a valid email address to register and participate in the program.
  • An activity tracker (i.e. smartphone, fitness watch, pedometer or activity log) and the commitment to at least 3 days per week of physical activity is recommended as part of the program.
  • The Walk With Ease (WWE) participant guidebook is available for purchase in hardcopy, eBook or audiobook formats.
  • Please contact your medical provider before beginning this or any other physical activity program.

 

SERIES 1 Program Dates: Monday, March 2, 2026 – Friday, April 10, 2026

Mondays: March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, & April 6

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, February 18, 2026 – 11:59 p.m.

 

SERIES 2 Program Dates: Monday, April 13, 2026 – Friday, May 22, 2026

Mondays: April 13, 20, 27, May 4, 11, & 18

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, April 1, 2026 – 11:59 p.m.
