Taking part in the Walk With Ease (WWE) fitness program helps reduce your pain and improve your overall health. Created by the experts at the Arthritis Foundation, this introductory level program provides techniques to begin and maintain a successful walking program. Program topics will include exercising safely and comfortably, improving flexibility and building strength and reducing pain.

 

Program Details: September 19 – October 24, 2022

 

The Walk With Ease 6-week program is available in two formats:

  •  
  • ZOOM SERIES, 45-minute, live, weekly group educational sessions on Mondays, 12 p.m., or
  •  
  • EMAIL SERIES, weekly self-guided sessions

Both formats include:

 

  • Walk With Ease Participant Guidebook (available in English or Spanish)
  •  
  • Weekly support via email and/or phone by a Walk With Ease Certified Leader, resources and videos
  •  
  • Self-guided walking sessions (a minimum of three days per week for at least 10-40 minutes per day is recommended)
  •  
  • Certificate of completion (post-program survey must be completed to receive a certificate)
  •  

FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE. If you would like to apply for a financial scholarship, please contact Nancy Mears, mears@udel.edu, to receive an application form before proceeding with the online registration. Upon approval of your scholarship application, you will be notified and provided with instructions on how to proceed with registration.
