Water Management and Policy: Local and Global Perspectives
The third and final symposium of the Human and Climate Symposium Series, funded through the UD Office of Graduate and Professional Education’s Grand Challenges Program and organized by the DENIN Water Working Group and graduate students studying water across the University of Delaware. Topics covered will encompass environmental law and policy behind water remediation and management.
All too frequently, scientific research remains in the realm of the academic community, without informing policy or management decisions. However, effective water resource management is of extreme importance to the well-being and sustainability of communities, and thus communication between scientists and stakeholders is essential. At this one-day symposium, we hope to highlight research on water resources and water resource management and provide a forum for discussion about the interactions between research and policy.
