The University of Delaware’s Energy and Environmental Policy Program and the Energy Policy, Regulation and Statistics Division of the African Development Bank Group will jointly host a webinar on 4 September 2024, from 14:00-16:00 GMT.

The webinar will feature discussion of the pressing energy challenges and limitations of national energy governance in Central Africa, highlight the opportunities and benefits of regional energy governance to strengthen energy security, examine various regional and continental initiatives to improve regional energy access and assess the need for a roadmap for regional energy integration as highlighted in a policy brief published by the two institutions (Click here to read the policy brief).

The webinar will bring together thought leaders and experts from the University of Delaware, African Development Bank Group, the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), the Central African Power Pool (CAPP), other power pools in Africa, African national ministries of energy, energy regulators, and the private sector, to explore solutions and strategies for enhancing regional energy governance.
