Delaware Atmospheric Plasma Probe Experiment
The Delaware Atmospheric Plasma Probe Experiment (DAPPEr) is set to become the first orbital spacecraft mission built and operated in Delaware. This 3U spacecraft is designed to map variations in electron density and temperature across the ionosphere's F2 layer. Led primarily by undergraduate students, the team is developing key components, including our scientific instruments, deployment mechanisms, electronics stack, flight software, and our own ground station. Having been selected by NASA’s CubeSat Launch Initiative (CSLI), DAPPEr is currently recruiting ECE students to assist with spacecraft development for the upcoming summer and the 2026-2027 academic year.
